#manlug is an IRC channel frequented by several members of the Manchester Linux User Group (ManLUG). In 2005 we started having regular socials, primarily aimed at ManLUG members but open to everyone, which tend to involve beer followed by curry and finished off with more beer. After trying various dates, we settled on the first Friday of every month and have been running ‘Currybeer’ (as the social has become known) ever since.
